Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends. Some overtime will be available.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Sheet Metal Worker Trade Certification, Sheet Metal Worker Red Seal Certificate, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, WHMIS, Driver’s License.

Workers Supervised: Sheet metal workers, Apprentices, Machine operators, Trades helpers, Labourers

Major Work Area: Assembly, Construction, Erection, Fabrication, Installation, Maintenance, Repair, Service, Shopwork

Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Commercial, Industrial, Independently owned business, Institutional

Specific Skills: Supervise workers and projects, Co-ordinate and schedule activities, Train or arrange for training, Recommend staffing actions, Ensure adherence to safety standards, Set up machines and equipment

Additional Skills: Prepare production and other reports, Oversee apprenticeship training, Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Enhanced reliability security clearance, Criminal record check

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles
