Terms: This is a permanent, part time job, which requires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Shift work is involved. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be enefits per hour for a 24 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, First Aid Certificate.

Work Setting: Community service organization, Counselling centres, Health care facility

Area of Counselling Specialization: Anxiety/panic, Behaviour disorders, Depression, Rehabilitation, Crisis intervention, Cross cultural issues

Type of Clients: Adolescents, Persons with mental health disabilities

Specific Skills: Assess clients’ problems, Develop and implement counselling and intervention programs to assist clients in determining goals and means of attaining them, Evaluate clients’ progress in resolving identified problems and movement towards defined objectives, Write reports (assessment, follow-up, progress, court reports, etc.), Liaise with communities

Additional Skills: Perform administrative tasks, Use computer applications

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check
