Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days and weekends. Shift work is involved. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $12.00 to $14.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have some high school, completed high school, some college or technical training.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Forklift Operator Certification.

Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Windows, General office equipment, Electronic mail, Word processing software, Spreadsheet software, Inventory control software

Type of Equipment: Pallet lifters, Lift trucks and fork-lifts, Dollies and hand trucks

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Type of Operation: Computerized inventory control

Specific Skills: Schedule distribution of goods, Prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents, Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, Maintain internal record-keeping system, Record shortages and reject damaged goods, Route goods to appropriate storage areas, Pack goods to be shipped, Unpack goods received, Affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments, Supervise material handlers and helpers

Security and Safety: Bondable, Criminal record check, Driver’s validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract)

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods
