Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be $22.63 to $28.29 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have AME «M» Licence - Aircraft.

Mechanical Maintenance Experience: Aircraft maintenance - general

Type of Aircraft Experience - Airplanes: Small piston airplanes, Small turboprops

Work Setting / Industry Experience: Corporate aviation, Military aviation, Repair and overhaul facility, Training organizations

Aircraft Mechanic Skills: Visually inspect / assess and assist repairs to aircraft structures, systems and equipment, Remove/install and functionally test aircraft components, Dismantle aircraft systems for repair and overhaul, and reassemble, Assemble and rig aircraft control systems, Diagnostically troubleshoot aircraft defects and carry out corrective action, Complete records of work done and sustain an accurate record system

Additional Skills: Work in confined spaces and at heights

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Standing for extended periods

Work Site Environment: Noisy

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence

Essential Skills: Reading text, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Computer use, Continuous learning
