Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be $14.00 to $17.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s licence.

Type of Farm Operations: Livestock, Grain, oil seed, forage crop

Type of Equipment: Swather or combine, Tractors, Trucks, Seed drill, Fertilizer applicator, Storage and silage system, Feeding and watering system, Manure handling or storage system

Type of Livestock Specialization: Beef cattle

Specific Skills: Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers, Perform general farm duties, Carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs, Recognize and treat certain livestock health problems, Supervise farm operations

Additional Skills: Maintain quality control and production records, Maintain livestock performance records

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driver’s validity license check

Own Tools/Equipment: Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Gloves

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Physically demanding, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Large workload

Work Site Environment: Outdoors
