Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Machinist Trade Certification.

Machining Tools and Machines: Cylindrical grinders, Drill presses, Engine lathes, Milling machines, Sawing machines, Universal grinders

Measuring Tools: Micrometers, Callipers, Gauges

Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Specific Skills: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables, Repair machine tools and parts, Set up and adjust production machinery, Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, Verify dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision measuring instruments, Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments, Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Standing for extended periods
