Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $30.00 to $35.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.
Notes: bonus, milage paid, and other benefits.
Also: dental, vision, disability benefits.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Welder Trade Certification.

Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Industrial

Welding Techniques: Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) (MIG), Flux core arc welding (FCAW), Plasma arc welding (PAW)

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Interpret welding process specifications, Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC), Operate drill presses, Operate hoisting and lifting equipment, Prepare jigs or set-ups for welding, Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment

Additional Skills: Instruct apprentices, Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes, Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Sitting, Standing for extended periods

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, At heights

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel, Valid driver’s licence

Work Location Information: Staff accommodation provided
