Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days. Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Machinist Trade Certification.

Work Setting: Custom machine shop

Type of Machine Experience: Computer Numerical Control (CNC)

Type of General Machine Tools: Engine lathes, Broaching machines

Type of Special Purpose or Mass Production Machine Tools: Automatic lathes

Type of Repetitive Machining Operation Experience: Turning, Milling

Specific Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence

Essential Skills: Reading text, Working with others, Problem solving, Job task planning and organizing, Computer use, Continuous learning
