Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends.

Salary: will be $12.44 to $14.54 per hour for a 16 hour week.
Notes: milage paid.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, some college or technical training, some university.

Experience: Canadian Deafblind Association - Manitoba (CDBA-MB) will provide training..

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.

Specific Skills: Prepare, cook and serve meals, Plan menus for special diets, Shop for food and household supplies, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning, Teach homemaking or life skills, Provide personal care, Provide companionship, Assist clients in water (i.e. pool), Administer medications, Assist clients to walk, Aid clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Public transportation is available

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Walking

Other Information: Training will be provided. The goal is developing good communication skills to help adults with deafblindness. Program or Coursework related to support of individuals with specific needs is an asset.
