Terms: This is a temporary, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $24.00 to $29.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have some college or technical training, completed college or technical training.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Bricklayer Trade Certification, 3rd Period Apprentice, 4th Period Apprentice, Driver’s License.

Area of Specialization: Stone masonry, Prefabricated brickwork and masonry, Fireplaces and chimneys, General masonry work

Specific Skills: Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units, Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing, Construct and install prefabricated masonry units, Face, size, cut and lay stones, Place steel reinforcing and grout in cavities or cores to build external walls

Additional Skills: Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages

Security and Safety: Criminal record check

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Own transportation, Own vehicle
