Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days and nights. Some overtime will be available.

Education: The applicant should have some high school, some college or technical training.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Machinist Trade Certification, 4th Period Apprentice, CAMC Aviation Machinist Certification.

Machining Tools and Machines: Boring machines, Broaching machines, Drill presses, Engine lathes, Milling machines, Sawing machines, Shapers, Surface grinders, 3-D pantographs

Measuring Tools: Micrometers, Callipers, Gauges

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables, Repair machine tools and parts, Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, Verify dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision measuring instruments

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods

Work Site Environment: Non-smoking

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Public transportation is not available
