Terms: This is a temporary, part time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $11.00 per hour for a 20 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, some college or technical training, completed college or technical training, some university, completed university.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Early Childhood Education Assistant Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, First Aid Certificate.

Work Setting: Day-care centre

Children’s Ages: 2 years, 3 years, 4 years, 5 years

Early Childhood Educator Assistant Skills: Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them, Guide children in development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits, Prepare and serve snacks, Observe children and report on observations to supervisor

Additional Skills: Maintain day care supplies and equipment, Assist in housekeeping duties, Light cleaning duties

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilites: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Noisy, Air conditioned

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation
