Terms: This is a permanent, part time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends. Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have some high school.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Red Cross Swimming Instructor/Life Saving Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, Water Safety Instructor (WSI), National Lifeguard Service (NLS) Certificate.

Recreational Concentration: Aquatics

Type of Clients: All ages

Work Setting: Private club

Activity Focus: Leading/instructing individuals, Leading/instructing groups, Patrolling/supervising activities

Additional Skills: Provide emergency or first aid assistance, Assist with special events, Keep logs and maintain records

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check

Ability to Supervise: More than 20 people

Work Site Environment: In/on water

Essential Skills: Reading text, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking
