Terms: This is a permanent, part time job, which requires working days, evenings, and nights.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Extended Trailer Combination Permit or Endorsement.

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trans-border documentation, Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports

Communication Equipment Experience: Satellite tracking (GPS) equipment

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Transport hazardous products or dangerous goods, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness

Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel overnight, Valid driver’s licence
