Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Shift work is involved. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have some college or technical training, completed college or technical training.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification, Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement.

Area of Specialization: Assembling machinery and equipment, Installing machinery and equipment, Adjusting machinery and equipment, Fabricating machine parts, Start-up and testing, Shutdown operations, Renovating and restoring, Troubleshooting, Centering and setting to elevation, Bearing, seals and packing, Specialty welding

Type of Industry/Work Setting Experience: Manufacturing, Metal fabrication, Steel industry

Type of Machinery or Equipment: Conveyors, Industrial and stationary engines, Pumps and compressors, Hoists and other lifting devices, Grinders, Welding equipment, Electrical and electronic controls, Lathes and other machining tools, Power tools, Fans and blowers, Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems, Press brakes and metalworking equipment

Welding Techniques: Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), Flux core arc welding (FCAW), Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) (MIG), Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW)

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
